In celebration of Women’s History Month, singer-songwriter Sarah Bernstein has released her latest single, “A Woman Like Me,” a poignant ode to self-reflection and empowerment. Characterized by raw vocals and tender lyricism, her new single delves deep into personal introspection and growth and is available on all streaming services.

Reflecting on the genesis of the song, she recalls, "I wrote ‘A Woman Like Me’ weeping at my coffee table in my old apartment. At its core, it’s a self-reflective song about identifying yourself as the problem. And at the time, it was the most honest I’d ever been with myself in writing.”

Despite initial reservations about sharing such a raw piece of her soul, Bernstein's journey with "A Woman Like Me" has been one of remarkable evolution and connection. "Fast-forward five years later, and it’s my absolute favorite song to perform live," she shares. "The way people have connected with it, and shared how they relate, made it into something so much more powerful.”

“A Woman Like Me” was written and performed by Sarah Bernstein, produced by Sarah Bernstein and Shane Adams, mixed by Kenny Varga, mastered by Alex Dobbert at TrueEast Mastering, recorded at Coop DeVille Studio in Nashville, and features drums by Wes Little, bass by Luis Espaillat, guitar by Justin Ostrander, and piano by Shane Adams.

Sarah Bernstein is a German-American Singer/Songwriter. After recording her EP Man in the Moon in Germany at 17 and publishing her music across streaming platforms, her original song ‘Boomerang’ went on to be a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. After initially attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, she transferred to Fordham University where she found home in New York City. Her self-produced EP Spellbound is an ode to her time here, now approaching a decade.
