Marques Houston Releases New Song “Admit It”
Marques Houston has returned with a new song, “Admit It,” his first release since 2022. The 3 minutes new track which smoothly blends R&B with Afrobeats was produced by Jordan James and Jai Sessions.

“I’ve had the itch to come back and do music heavily the past year or so,” Houston says. “I’ve been creating so much and experimenting with sounds and different life experiences to have things to write about. I’m a big fan of fusing genres and Afrobeat is one of my favorite genres. I wanted to start with an Afro/R&B fusion style record mixed with smooth vibey vocals.”
Houston adds, “I kept the song vibey and fun warming up for the album. Get ready to see and hear of lot of MH 2024!”

“Admit It” is Houston’s first release since his 2022 EP, ME: Dark Water. “I know a lot of people want that nostalgic R&B feel, which the EP still has, but I wanted to step out of my comfort zone,” Houston explained.
“It was really fun recording this project. ME: Dark Water is more of an edgier side.”
