Keke’s dynamic range, jaw-dropping versatility, flawless runs, and electrifying performances have cemented her place as one of the greatest singers of her generation. Her larger-than-life personality, candor about being the proud mother of eleven children and transparency about life’s everyday challenges and triumphs, have endeared her to a devoted fanbase.

Keke Wyatt’s fifth new recording and second for Shanachie, "Certified" is produced by Blac Elvis (Usher, Beyoncé) and offers a big dose of pure Keke, as she serves us her take on relationships and faith, featuring nine captivating originals and one sterling cover.

“I really feel good about signing with Shanachie!” shares Keke. “I'm excited and finally ready. I feel like this time we will create magic together and make HISTORY!” Shanachie General Manager Randall Grass notes, “At a time when great singers are in short supply, Keke Wyatt continually displays what real singing is all about.

Certified is certifiably classic Keke replete with impeccable vocals, fire tracks, soul, grit, and a surprise or two. The album opens with “My Ex,” a sultry number reminiscent of Prince with a bouncy groove and searing guitar, as Keke reminds us,” If I wanted less, I could have stayed with my ex.” The bluesy track, “Somebody” sets the record straight while “She” conjures vibes of Sade as Keke explores the mindset of a woman who knows what she wants.

The mid-tempo swinger and stepper’s groove (also the album's first single) “Water Into Wine,” finds Keke singing about the trials and tribulations of love stating, “I can’t turn water to wine, sight to the blind/Baby I don’t specialize in making miracles.”

On “Come Back To Bed” Keke demands some more attention and for her desires to make love a reality.

Certified also features a surprising and electrifying take on the Alex North/Hy Zaret standard, "Unchained Melody," originally written as the theme to the film Unchained. The classic in Keke’s hands is utterly beautiful and shines a light on both her Country and Gospel roots. Her pure and unfettered rendition is yet another reminder why she is in a league of her own.

Keke flips the script and takes us to the Dancehall with her dubbed out “Scared,” where she asks the question “Baby is you gonna do right by me because if you ain’t you should leave?”

The album’s title track, is the current single, “Certified.” Keke puts her own spin on a classic Doo-wop feel with “Open” where she tantalizes one word at a time. Certified closes with the incredibly moving and prayerful “Deliver Me,” where Keke earnestly gives thanks for her gifts and her family and acknowledges she is walking down a path that somebody else paved for her.
