Gina Hannuksela Releases First Single From Her Upcoming Debut EP

Have you ever been blinded by love? No? Don’t lie, you surely have. At least Gina Hannuksela has, and that’s what the title of her latest single symbolizes. In “Black Af1”, Gina gracefully addresses the inner conflict one faces when the body says one thing and the mind says another.

From Uppsala, Sweden, Gina Hannuksela is a multitalented artist, songwriter, and producer who aims to capture the moment when you’re sitting alone in your bed, finally admitting you’ve fallen. Gina weaves her message into her purple world and her love for Soul and Lo-fi.

Previously, she has released several singles and worked with producers from north to south of Sweden. After her latest track “Let Me Explain”, praised by Projext Liquid, among others, Gina locked herself in the studio with full focus on experimenting and reflecting. The result is her first EP, coming this fall, and her latest self-produced single "Black Af1".

In “Black Af1”, Gina flows confidently and playfully while inviting us into the world of what it’s like being with someone who is “gang-gang”. Between the lines, she tries to find answers to what is right and what is wrong. Because what do you do when your moral compass spins and a fight within yourself ensues?
